The trekking itinerary is designed up to Poonhill which lies at the foothills of the Annapurna massif.  Poonhill is considered the best view point from where you will see the best sunrise in the morning and a brilliant view of many peaks of Annapurnas, Fish Tail (Machhapuchhre), Dhaulagiri, Gangapurna, Lamjung Himal, Barasikhar, Nilgiri, Tukuche Peak and Hiunchuli. On a clear day, it is even possible to see the transcendental valley of Pokhara to the south.
Trekking to Ghorepani Poonhill is an amazing opportunity to observe the beauty of the Annapurna region within a short time. The trip starts just north of Pokhara at Nayapul which is an entry point of Annapurna region trekking. The trail follows through ethnic villages, dense mossy rhododendron forests, deep subtropical valleys and waterfalls. After visiting Ghorepani Poonhill you will visit a large beautiful village called Ghandruk. This village is inhabited by Gurung community and here in this village you will have a chance to enjoy Gurung Hospitality and culture.
